First I'd like to suggest a new resource before any recipes: Salt! Maybe it could be mined occasionally in mineral deposits.
Venison jerky: one part deer meat, one part salt.
Bear jerky: one part bear meat, one part salt.
Goat jerkey: one p- you get the point.

I'd also like to suggest vanilla.
Mashed potatoes: one part potatoes, one part butter, one part milk.
Strawberry shortcake: One part strawberries, one part flour, one part sugar, one part butter, one part milk, one egg.
Ice cream: butter, milk, coldstone, vanilla.
Apple crisp: sugar, flour, butter, milk, apples, vanilla.
Peach cobbler: sugar, flour, butter, milk, peaches, vanilla.
The crisp and the cobbler could maybe have some spices, too, representing cinnamon and nutmeg.

With our reset mining and foraging now .... new scripts need not be added or old ones changed to do this. I merely have to create "salt" and add it to the mining system's chest. actually, it'll be in the "finds" as of our next update so it can be utilised sooner.

As a general rule, recipe ideas should consist of one main ingredient and one or two additional ingredients. While there is no actual limit to the number of different ingredients, we don't want to get too complicated. Also, no "stacks" of ingredients should ever be suggested.

Another idea. I'm not sure how much more efficient it will make things, but perhaps having recipe cards dropped in the cooker with the ingredients. The cards would not be destroyed like the ingredients would be, and maybe they could list in their description what is required. Rather than scanning the pot for the ingredients of every possible recipe when the pot is closed, the script checks for a recipe card. If it finds one, it then checks to see if the ingredients are present for that recipe. If not, it terminates. Yet another idea: how about if some more complicated stews can be created by adding garlic, salt, spices, and carrots? I know you said you wanted things simple, but this way maybe something can be created that restores more hp (morale boosts ).

I like this idea, having all the different recipes is great but if they are going to get used then the harder recipes to make should offer something better than the simple meals that can be made with fish.

Most simple foods like berries or veggies grant 1 hp when used. the meals grant 4hp when used. There are a couple of more complicated recipes that grant 8hp. The 8hp recipes will remain unpublished though. Those will either have to be found IG as recipes in books, written on scrolls or learned through either RP or just experimentation with the cookpots and other items is all.

Bandages: Woolen Cloth Pads + a secret blend of herbs and spices.
Maybe these could be like a medic's fieldpack with one charge?
