Direct Connect from your desktop

Had a player ask me how to Direct Connect to SFS from their desktop earlier.

Here's how:

(1) Create a shortcut on your desktop to the nwmain.exe file in your NWN directory.
(1a) Go to directory where your NWN game is installed.
(1b) Right click on nwmain.exe file and click "Copy"
(1c) Right click on you Desktop and click "Paste Shortcut"

(2) Right click on the shortcut and click properties.

(3) In the Target box, add the following text to the end of the line:
"+connect 99.139.238.164:5121 +password savage" (without the quotes).

So the Target should look something like this:
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 99.139.238.164:5121 +password savage

(4) Run the shortcut, which will connect you directly to SFS.

Great stuff Arse but there is no password for the server any longer so disregard that step.

The IP will need to be changed manually when we change IP addresses.

There is also a DM version:

You need to add the following text to the end of the line for the DM client:

"-dmc +connect 99.139.209.102:5121 +password *****"

Where ***** is the DM password

entering the player password will just ensure that a player can login whether it's turned on or not.
