Would be neat if you are bitten by a were creature that you have to make a save, or have a chance of beginning the "change" into the creature type that bite you. Just a thought, not sure how in depth it will have to get.

Just a thought, not sure how in depth it will have to get. Lycanthropy and vampirism are both hard to properly protray in NWN. I know some systems/scripts come close, but they are often rife with problems. - When a lycan shifts in PnP for example ... if the change is too sudden anything worn risks being damaged or destroyed as they usually swell in physical size when they change. I'm sure there'd be some screaming here when someone logged back in during a period of time they would be script forced to shapechange and scream when their armor was ruined - If lycanthropy were added here, then many would expect vampirism as well. - Every single server I've played on that had one or both curses allowed had folk that saw them as an attraction and went out of their way to contract the afflictions. Most use this as a work around to in the end play something exotic outside of the normal races/classes.

While a cool plot hook for part of an ongoing story... I've only seen this create headaches in NWN. RPwise, PvPwise, and the problem with flocking for the exotic properties.

Ive been playing on Ravenloft: Prisoner of the Mist for over a year now and we do have lycanthropes and undead, and they are awesomely scripted and well played. And in order to "contract" these diseases and such is to apply for it. The DM team reads over your application and decides whether or not, according to your story and your knowledge of the monster class, if you will turn or not.
I personally think its an awesome idea, and can add a lot of horror to the server if the MPC *monster PC* plays it right!
My two cents.

Since this involves scripting, and scripting that would benefit very few at once it lacks priority at this time.
