I just left the doctors office, positive for H1N1. I tried to call into work, and they're making me come in sick. I work at a Quiznos. Today's Dumbarse award goes to my manager.

They are actually that short staffed, but being a small business owner means that you have to be prepared to step up to the plate. Not tell an obviously sick employee to "suck it up". I worked for 2 days because I couldn't get off before I even went to the doctor, so I've potentially seeded over 300 infections in the past 3 days. Because someone wanted to go to miami for the weekend. Today at least, I was able to put a mask on once the manager left. May she carry it home to the owner (her aunt) and get their entire family cripplingly ill!

I'm off work myself but my company has the sense to not tell me to come into work when I'm coughing and sneezing!
