Would like to see masks actually be masks here. If that is possible. Like a mask of Mask, or along those lines. Haven't seen anyone pull that off yet.

It would require alot of work and a large custom hak though. Heads have no attachment nodes with them. IE you can't make a true open faced helm or mask. The only real alternative would be to make a "masked" version of every available head IG and then swap them out when a mask is worn. This is how the helms work IG. The helm never "covers" a head, it replaces its appearance with that of a helm. In theory someone could expand the cloak slot hats to possibly work with a "mask" appearance. So far as I know though, no one has. In any case, it'd take a custom hak at some point to enable a true mask and isn't likely to happen.

Masks, glasses, open faced helmets and other options will be doable at some point here. No ETAs as its all still in early experimental stages. We can apply many of these things however as "head aligned visual effects" however. Since they will be "visual effect", you'll be able to choose types of effects/appearances, but won't be able to customize their colors/textures. Some effects I'm playing with now: - Glasses/Goggles. - Veils/Masks. - Party Masks. - Hats. - Familiars and other small creatures perched on your shoulder. - Weapons and Backpacks. Since these are all "visual effects", removing any single effect will remove all of them. So I'm working on a system (scripting) that will remove the effect you desire and reapply the rest. I.e, you could remove a hat, but still keep a creature shown on your shoulder and have your face remain veiled/masked. Anyhow, this just points out that an old suggestion (from '09) that was once a "No" or "Can't Do That" might over time become possible and worth looking into again.
