Howdy, and welcome aboard!
First off, which IP are you using for your Direct Connect? It should be 172.251.34.253:5123 .

Sorry for the slow response. 1 - It could be on your end, even with a fiber connection. Not the connection, but rather an issue with your provider and the routing paths to connect. I can try to do a trace route to the IP associated with your login on the forums and see. ** Edit ** I just ran two trace route tests to check the path between our server and your local IP. Botgh times the connections are timing out at AT&T hubs in the Kansas City area. So this could just be a temprary issue with AT&T along the route used to connect between us.2 - Are you using NWN (1.69 Diamond Edition) or are you using NWN:EE (the new enhanced version)? If using the EE version, you would be unable to connect. We do plan a conversion to EE sometime later this year, but are still working out the bugs here. 3 - If using the original NWN you may need to play around with some of your modem or firewall settings first. Before diving into that, can you connect to any other NWN PWs at all?

Guess i cant do multiplayer now(which is why i bought it).Anyway..i did have a roleplay question. Ive seen the races and such...i been a roleplayer for over 30 years. I know such main races are out of the question but could one play a Dhamphir? i mean just roleplay wise i dont want any special abilities and such.

Sorry. Dhamphir (Dhampir/Dhampyre/etc...) do not exist in the Forgotten Realms setting. Even though introduced into D&D in the mid '90s, they were a part of the Ravenloft Adventures which take place in Transylvania.

Barovia is the Demiplane's analogue of Transylvania and, perhaps, the rest of the pre-Romanian nations of the Danube as well. There are many other nations in the Demiplane (ie. Darkon, Falkovnia, Lamordia, Mordent, et al), but since Barovia is the homeland — and the prison — of the keystone figure Count Strahd von Zarovich, Barovia tends to receive the most focus in the Ravenloft setting. But there's already another NWN server dedicated to the Ravenloft setting, so we can just leave Ravenloft to those guys, I reckon.
