You know how you drink a bunch of wine and/or ale, and the DCs for the Fortitude Saves to resist getting drunk increase with every drink, but if you stop boozing it up for about 15 minutes, the DCs reset (to 10 for beer/ale and 12 for wine)? Sometimes, that reset doesn't happen. Sometimes, it might be days (or however long it might have taken Barleigh there to plumb around a few of the caves in the Hills Have Eyes hills) since your character last sipped some beer or wine, but as soon as you start with a fresh round of drinks, the DC's back to being sky high, just like it would be if you had already sucked down a full ten drinks (even though you obviously hadn't). Why is that?

All Arok has to say about this is Hooray! Persistent Drunkeness!
Long term alcoholics know that once you achieve a certain persistent blood alcohol level. Your overall tolerance increases but occasionally so does your sensitivity.
You are now a "Wine'O".
