Looks like we could use some frontline punch. If a paladin and elven priestess are already in the party, I might revert to the good ol- Dwarven fighter tankery. Party composition aside, does the server have a Discord server? It would be mighty useful for impromptu coordination and I strongly recommend it in order to have activity outside the campaign play. No discord at this time, but some of us do use Skype while playing (or just to keep in touch). Personally, I prefer Skype mainly because if folk need to get a hold of me when I'm away, it's a lot easier. I've even used it to chat live with others and talk them through an issue while out driving around town (unlimited data rocks for a phone) and a few times from folks overseas. When we convert to EE at some point, a Discord Channel will likely be started.

10 pm eastern / 7 pm pacific would mean a starting time of Wednesday, 5 am over here... hmm, I don't know if it's viable on a long term basis. I would love to give it a go though. Non-evil PCs are not a problem, as well as single classing. What is the current party composition? Ι was thinking a Dwarven paladin of Gorm Gulthyn or an Elven cleric of Sehanine Moonbow. Thanks also to jaynah for replying! Really, whatever you'd like to play should be fine though. We seem to adapt well to our party's strengths and weaknesses. Back when we had a Dwarven Fighter and a different Human Barbarian with us, our Paladin was able to be our secondary healer as well as front line support. Nowadays, he's often "The Front Line" or backed up by our beloved Half Orc Priestess when they make it. Due mostly to RL scheduling and few dropping out after having computer issues, we've had and lost a Monk, a Bard (replaced by our Rogue Player for a PC that could handle traps and locks), a Monk, A Dwarven Fighter and a Human Barbarian. Still, we've been lucky and avoided TPKs (OK .. we had a couple very early on ) by constantly shifting tactics based on who shows up each outing. Aw. Arok's definitely a goner, then? (I'm still working five- or six-day workweeks until the regular carrier for my Postal route comes back from breast cancer surgery. I am so burnt out on mail delivery now. ) And long time, no see, Holyrage! What have you been up to?

Kalbaern, I strongly suggest Discord because it has all the things Skype offers and some more; it's a gamer's hub and it could help a lot with organising the server members, as well as recruitment. One could easily see if someone else is online and toss a word like "I am logging in"; I believe that could lead to increased population numbers and much better coordination. However, if Skype is the way to go I won't object at all Could I have an invite for the server group please, either way? Wids, I have been growing older, which is not a bad thing at all I must say Nice to see you around, I've been finding some time lately to game the way I want in addition to some hefty doses of tabletop D&D gaming. How have you been? Are you still around besides campaign play? Any means to get ahold of you these days online?

Even when he did not feel up to playing, he'd check the forums every few days here. He hasn't checked in since this past July 9th. The email he used to register on the forums has been dead for awhile and any messages get bounced back. We all hope nothing serious has happened. I've also tried PMing him here (as have others) and on several other PW Forums he had accounts on. holyrage - I have a discord account already. I stopped using it mainly because too many were pestering me there constantly. I'll give some thought to creating a new group there however. I'd tried the Discord phone app a few years back and it constantly dropped out and was too frustrating and impractical. That was why I stuck with Skype since then. Skype is nearly as good as a phone call when used from my phone and it's been useful more than a few times. I'll re-download Discord to my phone and give it a whirl again soon. Probably with a new login though.

kalbaern - Makes totally sense to desire a modicum of privacy. Discord can be a real nuisance if people pester you there constantly. Well, whatever suits you and the rest of the players best. It would be useful to have a means of organising impromptu gaming without having to actually fire NWN. But really, your call, as long as there is a way to keep in touch.

So I just hung out with Craftnburn, a new player who I'm told plays the new Barbarian in the Tuesday Night party. His Fighter and my Bard (the Scarlet-Mummer-to-be) teamed up to fight goblins for a while, and he seems pretty cool! I hope that he pops in on these forums soon. And I hope that Hungrycrow turns up okay soon as well. Maybe he just got a job offer halfway across the country and he's been busy moving and such. Nothing dreadful. Fingers crossed here.

Weekly group outings are on hold until mid January. With the holidays and other RL distractions, time and sleep is at a premium for me.

Our regularly scheduled weekly outing is being put on hold until this summer. Currently, I'm working two jobs with hours that allow little consistent sleep. Around June 1rst, the server will be offline for a week or two while I move cross country to California. Once settled in on the west coast, we'll resume our weekly outings again.
In the meantime, I'll still be around. I should be able to pop in to play with others at least once a week, though the exact day will often vary.
Updates and fixes, albeit at a slower pace are still being worked on.

Weekly outings are discontinued until further notice. There will still be some of us playing at various times in the evenings, but due to my work schedule and real life busyness the weekly outings are suspended.
