Last night, GameSpy discontinued services for several games, including NWN and NWN2. They've stated they are droppping all games no longer supported by their producers so the list of folk complaining won't be short.
So what will "we" here at "The Savage Frontier and Surrounds" do now? First we'll wait a week. GameSpy has done this in the past with a few other titles and given in and returned services after they saw how many were bitching.
If still down after a week, I'll move the hosting of our World to one of my own computers instead. Then I'll be able to ensure the IP stays consistant and it'll aid updates and maintenance. If that becomes the case, we may however remain down until after New Years.

Sounds like we're up for a Grand re-opening in the New Year then.
Hopefully with a more stable IP address we'll be more able to keep hold of players.

I'm wondering how much of a resource hog it was for Gamespy to host the NWN listings.
I also wonder how much it would cost to yank rights to NWN away from EA/Bioware and set it to public domain.
