zhentarim should not be covered by the no kill npcs generl rule cause they are the enemy they are a legitimate target and heck they goin to attack you if you open thier boxes outside lork, tried iot today not tried it before but got repeated warnings about npc killing that said a few weeks back my rogue screwed up and got spotted by zents and killed them all and got no message about npc killing soo is this new or a bug?

The Zhentarim that are normally "non-hostile" are not valid targets for attacks normally. I.e., if you simply approach them and attack, you're metagaming and abusing mechanics. If however you provoke them to attack by snooping through their crates, you of course are free to defend yourself when caught. You get no XP for killing any NPC that is normally not hostile regardless. The Zhentarim south of Llorkh are a flavor element in the main. There will be other areas where "zhents" are "open season".
