Seemingly in his mid-twenties Jared strikes the casual observer as an unassuming, yet strangely impressive figure. At around six feet tall, he has a lithe and muscular physique, though the extent of his athletic prowess is not always visible under the well-tailored attire.
He has a quick and ready charm when interacting with people yet also has the ability to slip un-noticed into the background if necessary. Jared speaks with an educated Waterdhavian accent, though it would be easy enough to establish his place of origin as he invariably has the city's crest embroidered on his clothing somewhere, alongside the silver chalice of Siamorphe.
Born into a middle-rank merchant family he was brought up with the values of social hierarchy and the primacy of aristocratic rule. Growing up a devout follower of Siamorphe, he made a vow of service to her church and to the nobility of Waterdeep as a monk. A devoted servant, his talents were noted by his superiors, both within the church and the general aristocracy, and he has been used by both as a diplomat, spy and informant.
Most recently he has been called upon to serve a group of nobles who have developed a keen interest in the potential opportunities offered by the Savage Frontier and its hinterlands. They wish to find out about potential trade opportunities and how to develop influence amongst the local elites and to turn them to supporting their interests. Any evidence of instability and power struggle within the region needs to be turned to their advantage.
It is to these ends in mind that Jared Sicciter has been called upon to survey the local area and its populace and develop some influence with them. He is to act as spy as well as a diplomat yet is encouraged to make himself useful to local leaders in this initial development of their plan.
