Day 7 -
I've been in this area for a little while now and am starting to realize the terrain around here is more treacherous than I first thought in terms of hazards both living and non. It seems the townsfolk are always in need of a hand, which I'm not complaining it makes me coin, and there is a overwhelming population of goblins in the north of this town. I haven't been much farther out but I have visited the towns of Loudwater and Lhrok by way of the boat in Olbar, the town I'm in now, and I have to say that Loudwater is a much better place to be. It does not smell as bad as Olbar and looks more cheery when compared to the depression inducing Lhrok.
I have also seen some interesting people. Most note worthy would be the depressing woman I saw near the rock in Olbar with the writing on it. She looked at me as if I were something she had not seen before. Also saying my name was interesting but I guess now that i think about it I would most likely be viewed as an oddity around here seeing as it is a different area. Then I only tried to wish her a good day and while waking away she merely said something along the lines of "I won't." Quite a dreary person indeed. I guess the dead has that effect on people. Though I have seen necromancers that try to be friendly (They may be evil but evil doesn't always mean give up on trying, I have no problem talking to them //TN dont care either way lol\\) so maybe its just the ones around here. Oh well, I have to say I was a bit curious to see what she does with that arm. Seems quite interesting that the bone can still hang there and be used after all the flesh is gone. I don't want to think of the pain it must cause.
I also did a little light traveling with a man named Manax, I believe, and he seemed a capable man. He says he has arrived in this area not to long ago as well. I decided to show him around the area a little and see if he can fight. He is quite adept and finding the weak points on enemies when they are not attacking him. Could be because it gives him more time to observe or something. I did not get to much a chance to gauge his fighting style.
I will leave this entry with that. Should remember to update this on a regular basis just in case I'm found dead or something that I can not foresee happening, happens. May the stories of my travels help the one who finds this if that be the case.
