There really is no one best build to play here. Admittedly, just like most servers ... starting as a fighter type is often the easiest due to shear hitting power and hitpoints to soak up damage. That being said though, most dungeons are really designed to be overcome by a group and not any one single PC.
XP gained also is as a rule higher in a group due to party bonuses given with out XP System here. Though it's true a sloer doesn't have to split loot with others, soloers often reap less coin in the end due to respawning when they die alone with no one to save them.
In the end, what type of build you have should be dictated by your PCs background and your favored playing style.
