Welcome to FR - The Savage Frontier and Surrounds.
This PW encompasses most of the North-Central area of Faerun known as the "Savage Frontier" as well as parts of the High Forest and "The North". Not just the birthplace of the reknowned Sage and Meddler Elminster, this area of Faerun covers three ancient kingdoms of lore and possesses unbounded opportunities for exploring and adventure.
While this is an RP server first and foremost, we encourage players to get out of towns and be the "Heroes" or even "Villians" they were meant to be.For a list of Haks required to play go here: frsavagefrontier.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=haksFor Rules and other Guidelines go here: frsavagefrontier.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules

Harsh winds blow at your face, and stinging rain beats upon you back as you exit the ferry. You stand alone in the world once again, new to the area, or recently decided adventure was for you. You find yourself in the Savage Frontier, or known by others, The North. A land of vicious untamed wilds. Nightmarish monsters that will invade your dreams at night. Endless paths to take upon your travels here in the North, the direction is only up to you.
Within the last decade or two the Zhentarim have seized control over the once peaceful dwarven inhabited place of Llorkh. Rumors surround the town of Orlbar. Do the Zhentarim seek to gain control of that sleepy little farming town? Or do they have their eyes set upon Loudwater? There are no clear signs to point in either direction, just speculations and rumors.
The dwarves that once inhabited Llorkh left when the Zhentarim started showing up, and adamantine was found within the wall of the Graypeak Mountains. They have taken up refuge there as the Longhammer Clan. While others are able to walk to the Clan holdings, they are looked upon with suspicion and loathing for the most part by the dwarves there. The dwarves are not so fast to trust any that do not share their bloodline. Specially because the Zhentarim are a constant threat to their trade route to Loudwater.
Loudwater itself is the one truly "clean" place in the Savage North, if there can be any place actually called such. It has retained it's independence from the Zhentarim invaders, and constantly search for any Zhent spies in their city. It is rumored, by more than one mouth, that the Zhentarim send spies into Loudwater, and Loudwater sends their own into nearby Llorkh.
Just outside Loudwater you can head north into the highly dark, and dangerous paths that await in the High Forest. If you are lucky enough to find you way, and survive the journey, you may well discover Elvenport.
Elvenport is a simple community mainly of elves, that have recently begun to reestablish their home on the border of the High Forest. All travelers are welcome into the port city, but don't expect any friendly gestures, nods, or kind words from the elves. They leave kindliness for their own kind. Some say that they have the best bows, and blades to ever be found, but could simply be a rumor, as no non-elf, has ever been sold to by one of their merchants. Only the simple general merchant will allow non-elves to purchase small items, as well as buy some from their findings in the High Forest.
Just south of the Southwoods, there is a way to enter the dreaded High Moor, a land so blasted by magic in days past, that nothing grows besides sparse vegetation. Many horrible beasts are rumored to wander the High Moor, but few return to relate the tale. Rumors tell of an ancient Elven City, now buried beneath the High Moor itself, but these could easily be dismissed as ravings from a mad man.
Of course, if you ask the dwarves, there once stood a great Dwarven Hall out there. Sinkholes and beasts make the trip nearly impossible, and any that have set out to find these "Halls of the Hammer" have rarely returned.
Pick your path traveler. Find you place among the many opportunities that await one of your skills. Find friends, allies, and even greater enemies. But, be careful the path you choose, it could well become your one and only path.
The Savage Frontier awaits!
