What would be the appropriate cost if I were to sell the potions I brew? I'm thinking a standard minimum multiplier of 2.5 to the gold cost as a general guideline? I don't want to unbalance the server by flooding it with cheap, easy to make potions, which is why I'm asking.

I think merely doubling the cost to make them is fine. I don't want to restrict folk too much. I would encourage folk to take advantage of "Market demands and availability" though. IE, don't just use 2 x Cost as your sell price. If a certain potion normally sells for 100+gp in shops and you can brew it for 20gp ... then a shrewd PC could easilly get 60-80 apiece from folks and others would gladdly buy them. Especially if they are not just cheaper, but you're saving them the travel expenses of getting them elsewhere. So don't shortchange yourselves. As far as "freely giving" scrolls, potion or even wands to other PCs goes, so long as it's IC and not twinking or muling it's fine. IE, if "Eowomir" gives "Elrolas or "Taith" or "Landress" a few mage armor potions to "protect them when he's not around" it'd be fine. If "Eo" gives out potions to new or low level PCs it'd likely be "twinking" if they didn't normally carry such and he didn't know the PCs well ICly arleady.
