Hi!
1) I've noticed that some of the weapon bits are solid white and featureless (like that flail head there).
1a) Are they like that for everyone, or is it just me?
1b) Is this normal? If not, how do I fix this "whiteness"?
2) For many of the weapon models, "Bottom" pieces usually include pommels and such, while "Middle" pieces tend to be the shafts, handles, hilts and such. But for some weapon models, those two categories seem to switch places, with "Bottom" pieces including the shafts and "Middle" pieces including the butts and pommels. Halberds are a bit infamous for this; it's easy to end up with two shafts in the same place by adjusting the Bottom and Middle bits.
2a) What might be causing this category-switching with some of the pieces?
2b) Is it just me?
2c) Is it fixable?
3) You know how with swords in vanilla NWN, the Middle pieces include quillons/crossguards while the Bottom pieces include both pommels and grips? Here, the Middle bits for the Bioware swords pair the quillons with the pommels, and the Bottom bits are limited to the grips (or whatever you call the part of the sword that your hand goes around, the part between the quillons and the pommel). So we don't get to mix-and-match the various Bioware pommels with the various Bioware quillons.
3a) Why are the quillons and the pommels paired like that?
3b) Or is it just me?
4) You know how there are four colors for each weapon piece? Metal pieces can be colored gray, gold, copper and obsidian, while wooden pieces can be colored white (or black), blond wood, red wood and dark wood. Yet this server seems to limit our choices to three of the colors. This becomes evident when altering the holdable wands; the Top pieces are obsidian/black by default after you craft the magic wand, but if you alter the Top bit's color, you can't go back to black; your only choices become gray, gold and copper. The clubs also have a model which makes the club look like a bone; normally, the pieces of the bone club can be colored white or black (not counting the other two color slots, which are empty for the bone club), but here we can only color the bone club black; the white bone club model isn't available because of the color limitation. And here, the metal colors for the bastard sword pieces are limited to gold, copper and obsidian; gray (the color which represents steel and is normally the default color for metal weapons in NWN) isn't available.
3a) Why can't we access all four of the colors for each piece of each weapon model?
3b) Or is it just me?
Thanks!
