Absent a few weeks

I'll be absent the next few weeks here most likely.

My computer has fried it's motherboard.

I do have another (using it now), but its dedicated to monitoring, updating and doing reports for work related stuff and I've only few hours each day I can use it without interfering with that.

My old NWN disks won't install (bad disk 3 it seems *sighs*) so I ordered a couple of more copies off of Ebay tonight. When those get here this week I"ll get the game reinstalled on this computer and be able to continue working in the toolset.

I'll be downloading the CEP and other haks in the short time windows I have with this computer to get ready for the arrival of my new game copies. (I've 3 one hour windows each day I can spare this computer due to its dedicated use is all)

I doubt I'll be IG until I replace my gaming computer which will likely have to wait a few weeks. After pricing mother boards today online (I had a damned HP with an all in one board or I'd likely have fixed it today) I've decided to just get another computer. I may actually even get two. I can likely find a couple of computers now that match or beat my previous one performance wise and still cost less than a brand new one. (and I actually could use a backup for this computer now too) I just need to wait a few weeks until I get paid for my latest contract is all.

Until then, we'll likely just have a couple of small updates for bug fixes if crucial and I'll continue working on areas and shops. The extended crafting will have to wait until I get a replacement computer I can use without interuptions. (this one has to access several card and biometric access control systems daily and then auto email reports to my customers as well as print out hard copies for monthly mailings and my software locks me out from other programs while its doing that here)

So .... keep posting those bugs, nitpicks and ideas. Work on the module continues, it'll just be slower for a few weeks now. (this is almost a blessing too as my latest job is running me ragged the past few weeks anyhow )

Sorry to hear about the tech problems, but I think a couple of weeks off duty will do you good! Especially after hearing you spent 60 hours working on the module in one week!

Was 60 hours of "work" work as Micteu said. I took a part time job with the US Census Burea here and ended up becoming a contracted "trouble shooter" for them after a few days. I actually racked up about 70 hours last week and am at 21 hours for this week already. (Sunday and Monday)

I dropped off my gaming comp at a local store I deal with often and they're going to see if they can find an exact replacement (likely used) motherboard for me. If they can, then it'll keep the tab under a $100.00 likely. If not, they're holding a pair of towers for me that I'll grab in two weeks. (I'm gonna get one at least regardless as I really could stand to have a spare for the computer I'm on now) Anyhow, they've two P4s with 2g ram and better video cards than I had before. I can get the pair of them for $450.00 and they'll add the HD from my broken comp to one of them as a secondary drive for free. If they can find a replacement motherboard, I'll be looking at about $350 for one of the comps they're holding and fixing my old one. (They tested my old HD and memory cards and said they're all fine) Now it's just a matter of waiting on a check either from the government or one of the many other jobs I've billed to various builders to come in. (I do alot of subcontracting work for some home builders, but usually have to wait for the homes to sell before getting paid ... it's ever a waiting game for me )

Anyhow, I should be back to harrass folk by the 24th of this month. (sooner if someone else pays up before I get my first check from the government)

I got one of those pesky big checks I'm always waiting on from the contractors I often work for. After prepaying all of my coming bills (yeah, I'm abit fiscally anal that way nowadays ) I had enough to splurge on the two computers I had on hold.

So, you'll see me lurking IG now again and I'll be hitting the toolset this weekend with a vengeance again
