Rumor spreads around Llorkh of disappearances. It is mostly beggars and the homeless. An investigative mind could find out more asking around. Thought they might be met with resistance. It's said Chek, the Llorkh innkeeper knows more than he says. Six-shields inn begins to busy with adventurers curious about the rumors of missing street folk. The Lord's men are tight lipped about the situation. And the folks scared. But they may open up if they are made to feel safe
Adventurers of all types began to show up in the Six-Shields Tavern to pick up leads.
A burly stout wearing spiked armor approaches the innkeeper. Chek looks down upon the swarthy face. "You might find a hole somewhere more suiting stout."
"Yer ma liked it fine laddie," Boldun, the Spike retorted.
Grodda, a half-orc sitting in the corner looked up from his book with an intelligent glint in his eye at the commotion as the innkeeper's jaw dropped at the shear boldness of the dwarf.
A human of great stature approaches, nodding to both half-orc and dwarf. "Ye both be answerin' the summons then lads?"
"Summons? Interesting you were summoned eh?" Grodda replied to Kale.
"The posting is better fer ye then halfbreed?" Kale shrugged indifferently.
Safiya, a woman of beauty, yet held a powerful frame quietly steps in and glances around.
Another stranger, Koran, steps in and brushes off his breeches and cloak.
The innkeep, while angered at the commotion and grumbled as the new faces came in, became enlightened when he realized they were potential customers.
Kale glanced over his shoulder at Safiya. Her cheeks reddened. She quickly darted her eyes to the ground hoping to hide the blush. Spike caught a glimpse of Safiya's shyness and grinned.
"Quite a gathering," Koran said.
"Quite a gathering indeed." Grodda commented.
"Excuse me," Koran made his leave and he shouldered his way towards the rooms upstairs. He returned shortly with a shudder of disgust. "I think someone urinated up there."
"Yes there were a few people up there that drank too much," the half-orc interjected and flipped a page in his book.
"Aye thats whit they get fur nae drinkin thue bock wi meat," Spike mumbled.
Kale shrugged a meaty shoulder, "seen worse me 'ave." Kale continued to fixate his gaze with Safiya's presence like a smitten pre-teen boy. She looked over her shoulder towards the stairs. She took a deep breath and ventured up.
As she shortly returned down, she was met with Kale's voice, "well met lass…ye...," he flashed a toothy smile then looked to Koran. "Name be Kale… Kale Lazar."
Koran stared ahead at the wooden table, obviously lost in thought. Kale shrugged at the lack of response and turned back to the others.
"Hmmm excuse me but what's your name?" Grodda pondered the dwarf.
Kale interrupted, "what of you halfbreed? Ye have a name?" His eye lingered on Safiya again.
Safiya rubbed her arm shyly and kept her eyes locked to the wooden floor. Koran looked up and said to no one in particular, "charming fellow, isn't he?"
